Classic Team members are dedicated to competing at the highest levels of the sport in track, road, cross country, trail, and ultra-running events.

Taryn Brown

  • Taryn was a stand-out athlete competing for the University of Sioux Falls and University of Mary. She qualified for National Championships at 800m, the Indoor Mile, and in Cross Country. Taryn holds school records at USF in the 800m, 1000m, 1500m, Mile, and 3000m distances. She also holds the Colorado High School Championship record at 800m. In Taryn’s first major competition as a post-collegiate athlete, she won the Bismarck Marathon in a time of 3:03:56.

Casey Zienin

  • Casey competed as a NCAA Division I athlete for California State University Bakersfield, where she still holds the school record at 6k. She competed primarily on the roads after college, training in Ventura, CA, and has completed the Boston Marathon. Now a mother, Casey lives in Sumner, WA and is experiencing a return to form, with goals set on improving her Half-Marathon and Marathon bests.

Paddy Robb

  • Paddy is a graduate of Adams State University, where he made multiple national championship appearances and earned All-American honors. He has represented his home country of Ireland in international competition. Paddy is also one of our Classic Running coaches. He has goals of breaking 4:00 in the mile and competing for Team Ireland.

Brian Glassey

  • Brian attended Adams State University, where he qualified for NCAA Cross Country Championships. Since college he has competed at multiple USATF Cross Country and Trail Running Championships. His goal is to qualify for USA Olympic Team Trials. Brian is also the head coach of Classic Running.

Riley Ceglowski

  • A competitive swimmer in college, Riley jumped straight into ultra-running. She won the 2023 Last Call 50-miler in Colorado and was 3rd at the 2022 Keys 50 Mile race in Florida. She is currently training to debut at the 100-mile distance. Riley is Classic Running’s team nutritionist, and also coaches our triathletes in swimming.

Kaitlyn Kelley

  • Kaitlyn was a member of the cross country and track & field teams at Park University Gilbert and Adams State University. In college she focused on the 400m hurdles and mid-distance events. Kaitlyn has coached cross country and track at Park University and Washburn University.

Taylor Gonzales

  • A former soccer player and college walk-on for Montevallo University’s track and cross country teams, Taylor had immediate success as a runner. As a graduate student at Washburn University, she competed at multiple NCAA championship events, and was a conference champion at 5000m. She holds school records at 1500m, 3000m, and 5000m for Washburn. Taylor’s goal is to compete at USA Olympic Team Trials.

Jackson Friesth

  • Jackson is a former RMAC all-conference cross country runner for Regis University. He still holds school records at 8k and 10k cross country distances. After graduation, he has shifted focus to longer distances and has enjoyed balancing work with local road races. Over the past few years he has won the Colorado Half Marathon, Running of the Green 7k and the Evergreen Town race 10k.

Erika Bournival

  • Erika competed as a Division III track and cross country athlete for Wittenberg University. She then moved to Boulder, CO to pursue her running goals, where she set personal bests in the 1500m and the Mile. Erika now lives in Flagstaff, AZ where she works in medical research and continues to improve as a runner.

Ashton Grissom

  • Ashton competed for the NCAA DII South Dakota School of Mines before embarking on his career as an engineer and marathoner in Denver, CO. He has raced at three World Marathon Majors in the U.S. (New York, Boston, Chicago), and one internationally (Berlin) with goals of running more WMM races worldwide, and will run the Tokyo Marathon in 2025. He is training to qualify for the 2028 US Olympic Marathon Trials.
